In healthcare, corruption amounts to more than the the merely loss of finances, it can also mean the difference between life and death.
It can affect the very essence of our right to live, which depends on our health and can jeopardise our safety as patients through, for example, inappropriate prescribing of medication.
Conflict of interests between the pharmaceutical industries and health professionals are some of the many causes of corruption, and puts at risk the safety of patients.
Come and join our first event on corruption in healthcare where a representative of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Association to talk about the code of disclosure of transfers of value from pharmaceutical companies to healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations.
