Heating Campaign Coordinator

 

CAN Europe, the most influential NGO coalition working on climate action in Europe, is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Heating Campaign Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a Europe wide campaign with the aim to foster the decarbonisation of buildings heating systems and scale up relevant sustainable renewable solutions

 

Required professional qualifications:

·   Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an NGO or network coordination environment;

·   Experience in developing and implementing campaign communications strategies and delivering impact campaigns across different platforms and channels;

·   Knowledge and/or experience in producing content, identifying new communication tools, trends and techniques

·   Knowledge and understanding of policy development related to heating, energy efficiency and/or renewable energy at the European and national level;

·   Familiarity with broader climate policies at the European and national level;

 

Experience and skills

·   Experience of working in a very diverse environment, where multiple perspectives need to be aligned;

·   Excellent written and oral communication skills;

·   Web and social media savvy

·   Experience with presentations to external audiences;

·   Ability to set priorities, manage diverse tasks and meeting deadlines;

·   Experience of working in an NGO network an asset, understanding challenges of working in a diverse NGO network a must;

·   Experience with working in a team, while being able to work independently. 

 

Main duties will include:

·   Develop vision, campaign strategies and activities in coordination with CAN Europe members aiming at fostering the decarbonisation of buildings heating systems and scaling up relevant sustainable renewable solutions

·   Develop a communication plan in coordination and collaboration with CAN Europe members to support the overall campaign, including a narrative, shared messages, communication strategies, activities and tools, timelines and target audiences

·   Lead the implementation of the campaign in coordination and collaboration with the CAN Europe Network and support CAN Europe members in planning and undertaking relevant activities, including advocacy work;

·   Represent CAN Europe externally, including  towards EU institutions, NGO partners and other stakeholders:

·   Coordinate the development, production and delivery of campaign materials and publications Engage with other relevant stakeholders to coordinate and cooperate on issues relevant to the campaign

·   Working closely together with our energy and campaign teams

 

The location of this position is flexible, and remuneration will be defined accordingly. If the position would be based in our headquarters in Brussels, a Belgian open-ended contract will be provided with a projected salary between 2940,0EUR and 4080,0EUR gross/month depending on the years of relevant experience (from 3 to 20 years) and subject to Belgian taxes.
